The onset of winter is the only hope on the horizon for the Mug.  What has in past years been a lucrative carnival (Sydney - think County Tyrone / Miss Finland / Perfectly Ready) has been an absolute slaughter this year.  And to top it off the litany of quaddie failures continues  to grow, including:

Filling out a quaddie ticket, not getting it on and watching the inexorable leg after leg of winners

3 weeks in a row of 3 legs and 2nd in the fourth

Finally jagging a quaddie with at least the winner and the 2nd horse in every leg to have it pay $54 - a loss of $13 for the $40, 50c unit bet

Oh the joy …
