Race 3:

Former Kiwi OPAL T J NZ (7) has his first Australian start in a fairly easy race.  A winner in his homeland earlier this season, he finished mid-field in a strong Invercargill affair five weeks ago at his latest outing.  BEAT THE CHEAT (2) had the run of the race when second here two starts back and didn’t have much luck when fourth to Blue Rock on this circuit at his latest appearance, six weeks ago.  Rate him highly.  NOTHINGS EASY (6) has run placings recently at Maryborough and Yarra Valley and is working up to a win.  TEHUAKI (8) has plenty of ability but is prone to making mistakes.  Expect a forward showing if he trots all the way.  The first starter is MEGAJON (3) (Classic Adam - Priscilla Cherrie), a Jack Shelley trained 4YO gelding who’s related to handy squaregaiters Operator and Mon Cherie.
